Latest Fay update: Treasure Coast should brace for severe weather in the morning : Treasure Coast : TCPalm.

TC Palm news release, updated 1 hour ago.  Indian River County EOC Manager Tony Carper seems to be of the opinion that we will not be seeing any sustained winds over 30 mph.  In fact, he forecasts no sustained winds over 20mph.  Let’s hope he’s right.  The Treasure Coast took enough of a beating with Frances and Jeanne in 2004 (both direct hits), and again in 2005 with Wilma.

Still today, homes and apartments stand with damage from these storms because for one reason or another, repairs could not be made.  The apartment I live in currently has missing roof shingles and a broken front window (vandalism) and that window faces the direction these storm winds will be coming from.  Let’s hope that this generic duct tape will hold up against the wind and rain as well.  Right now I’m not too hopeful.
